AEG Dual Factor Authentication

Dual Factor Authentication (DFA) serves a vital security function within an organization through imposing two factors for authentication. It secures access to corporate networks, protects and verifies the identities of users.

How it works

Dual Factor Authentication provides an additional security layer at the access of operating systems and/or applications compatible with RADIUS authentication protocol. DFA allows authentication through two factors:

  • Something the user knows (i.e. username + password)
  • Something the user owns (i.e. a token providing one-time password)
  • The combination of these 2 factors creates the password that allows the operator to authenticate successfully.

SMS OTP is another option to provide a one-time-password which replaces the use of any software or hardware OTP generator. With this option, the Client will get the OTP via SMS message.

    Features and Benefits

    • SWIFT ADK component allows the end-user to easily manage the tokens
    • Management tasks can be performed directly from the SWIFT Interface as well as from separate applications
